ABSTRACT: Background: Current movement in health professional curriculum involves integration of evidence-based practice (EBP). As a response, the College of Physical Therapy in Pamantasan ng Lungsod ng Maynila (CPT-PLM) had incorporated EBP-related program outcomes in its undergraduate curriculum. Purpose: This study aims to describe the knowledge and skills in EBP of undergraduate third and fourth year students in physical therapy of PLM after a semester of exposure to EBP. The study would also like to investigate if there is a difference in the level of knowledge and skills between the aforementioned year levels. Method: This is a cross-sectional study. Modified Fresno Test will administered in order to determine the knowledge and skills of students in EBP after semesters of exposure in EBP training that is integrated in professional courses of the students. Results: A total of one hundred and sixty-nine PT students completed the questionnaire that measured their knowledge and skills in EBP. Both 3rd and 4th year students demonstrated the performance in all the questions as reflected by low percentage of students who received a score. Total scores for third and fourth year age 47.55 + 27.8 and 46.44 + 32.6 respectively. There is no significant difference in the performance of third and fourth year student with p value 0.701. Conclusion: The third and fourth year PLM physical therapy undergraduate students have limited knowledge and skills in EBP. Given this, actions to modify present curriculum in training should be done.
