Action note: In: Summary: ABSTRACT:With the lack data and attention to the prevalence and risk factors of musculosketal pain disorders, the aim of this study is to establish the prevalence and risk factors of musculosketal conditions of secondary school teachers in Manila using data gathered from self-administered Standardized Nordie Musculosketal Questionnaires of secondary school teachers of each district in Manila. Results revealed that prevalence of musculosketal pain disorders is 86.7% and main sites were low back and shoulder. Majority of the respondents are females, right handed, with an average of 17.4 years in service, 78% had no medical consultation regarding MSD and had 1-7 days duration of symptoms with ADL, leisure affectation. Based on our study, results showed that there is high prevalence of MSD among secondary school teachers in Manila and years in service, duration of symptoms, and effort of ADL on leisure have significant predictive power to the occurrence of MSD.
