Action note: In: Summary: ABSTRACT: The purpose of the study is to determine the level of awareness among End Stage Renal Disease patients at National Kidney and Transplant Institute about the importance of physical Therapy interventions. The researchers disseminated a research-designed questionnaire using 5-point Likert scale that is composed of demographic profile, which includes age, gender and socioeconomic status such as employment, family annual income, and educational attainment and the importance of physical therapy intervention. The total number of the population is 30 respondents undergoing hemodialysis at the National Kidney and Transplant Institute. Respondents were conveniently asked to participate in the study. All the data gathered were tallied and analyzed accordingly. Most of the respondents in the study are male whose ages are ranging from 51 to 60 years old. Majority of them were able to finish secondary level of education and are currently unemployed and most of them have an annual income of 20,000-49,999 pesos. The researchers found out that ESRD patients undergoing hemodialysis at NKTI has high awareness on the importance of physical therapy interventions. Also, there is no significant relationship between the respondents demographic profile and their level of awareness towards the importance of physical therapy intervention. However, there's a negative correlation between respondents employment and educational attainment and level of awareness. Other editions:
