Parkinson's disease is a nuerodegenerative disorder affecting the basal ganglia resulting in dyskinesia which is primarily exhibited as hypokinesia. PD ranks behind cardiovascular disease and arthritis as the third most common disease of late adulthood in the United States (De lIsa, 1998).
