Parkinson's disease is a nuerodegenerative disorder affecting the basal ganglia resulting in dyskinesia which is primarily exhibited as hypokinesia. PD ranks behind cardiovascular disease and arthritis as the third most common disease of late adulthood in the United States (De lIsa, 1998). In the Philippines, the occurence of PD among the geriatrics is not properly documented. due to the lack of awareness, only few Filipinos seek medical help for rehabilitation making it an uncommon condition locally. Most symptoms are merely taken as related to another disease.
