ABSTRACT: This study on the extent of implementation of the Government Policies on Basic Education through Managerial Practices is descriptive in methodology. Its research locale is the City of San Fernando where the nine (9) sampled private elementary schools are based and adopted as the research environment, and were purposively selected based on criteria set. These are represented by 339 respondents composed of parents, teachers and school managers. The data needed to answer the questions of the study were obtained through a researcher-made questionnaire of the Likert type-five point scale. It was found out that through managerial techniques, the different government policies were implemented. However, differences and similarities exist in their extent of implementation which range from less extent to greatest extent. In the analysis of data, weighted means were compute for the extent of implementation, t-test for the significant difference of the extent of implementation and Pearson r for the significant relationship, and tested at 0.05 level of significance. The study showed, no significant difference in the extent of implementation of educational management and government policies. As to the relationship, there is a high correlation between the implementation of educational practices and government policies. Meaning, educational practices have some bearing on the positive response to government policies. The proposed output or innovations suggested could serve as baseline data for further in-depth study of innovative educational practices of the selected private schools, and it may serve to improve the competence of teachers for quality education and the improvement of private elementary schools to further support the changing demands of time.
