ABSTRACT: This study is about underground rock bands that use their music as a medium to voice out their sentiments about the social issues Filipinos are facing today. They create music to express their thoughts and feelings about their lives and the society. They aim to express these sentiments to their listeners and bring about social change. This study also shows different underground rock bands that create and play songs that are socially relevant. It presents the message underground rock bands want to convey in their songs. This study also offers a new approach to the audiences of what they should know about underground rock bands, their music and the relevance to social problems.
