Action note: In: Summary: ABSTRACT: This study aims to know the knowledge and adherence of FM radio stations in Metro Manila to the KBP Broadcast Code. As it was recorded in history, ethical problems involving radio programs and personnel have been present. Living in an era where freedom of expressions is no longer considered as a crime, the question regarding boundaries in expressing opinions emerges. Radio is still considered as the most pervasive yet cost-effective medium among media outlets. Therefore this study aims to know if the stations are aware and are knowledgeable of the KBP Broadcast Code and its contents. This study also aims to find out if the station adheres to the Code as well as to address if the stations have encountered violations against the Code. The study made use of a qualitative approach through interviewing important personalities such as Station Managers, Personnel, Disck Jockeys and Performance Manager of the KBP. According to the findings, despite the accreditation and knowledge of the existence of the KBP, many stations have disobeyed the KBP Broadcast Code. It is recommended that the regulating body must enforce stricter implementation of censorship to its member stations. Other editions:
