This new clinical guide provides the reader with the best of an atlas, an anthology of clinical files, as well as an important basic introduction to the requisite information needed to diagnose and initiate treatment of the various neurologic and neuromuscular disorders. Using a real-life, clinically-based format, each chapter of Netter's Neurology begins with case vignettes from the Lahey Clinic neuroscience department files to provide readers with a clinical set of reference. These clinical records set the stage for the discussion of the basics of the specific neurologic disorder including history, epidemiology, clinical presentation, differential diagnosis, testing modalities, therapy and prognosis. Netter's Neurology incorporates over 300 Netter illustrations from basic anatomy displayed in actual size to images of the highlights of most clinical neurologic disorders. These are supplemented by modern neuroimaging, or photomicrography, further defining the anatomy of the specific areas of dysfunction.
