Action note: In: Summary: ABSTRACT: The study determined the seafarer's psychological assessment, career vision satisfaction and work performance evaluation of selected crew of Marinemax Shipping Corp when grouped according to age and rank. Also to discover if there is a difference between the results given by diagnostic centers accredited by Maritime Industry Authority (MARINA) and Department of Health (DOH) and another standardized psychological test. It was conducted that a significant difference between the career vision satisfaction mean score under the category of salary of the respondents when grouped according to rank while no significant difference exists in all categories. A significant difference in the area dominance of the 16pf when grouped according to age existed. No difference is also seen between the intellectual ability of the respondents as assessed by DOH/MARINA/RPM and Marinemax/RPM. There was also a significant difference in the assessed personality profile under the categories of restraint, emotional ability and objectivity between the DOH/MARINA personality profile and selected 16pf. The output of the study is a recommendation that would be essential in the creation of better HR policies for the workforce and would create a better foundation in suggesting what type of psychological test should be used by the governing institute.
