ABSTRACT: The study was generally conducted to determine the sexual orientation, cognitive abilities and adjustments of 373 adolescents reared by military fathers (from Camp Aguinaldo-59, from Fort Bonifacio-38, from Villamor Air Base-187, and from Camp Capinipin-89) towards quality educational program. Specifically, it sought to answer the following questions: What is the sexual orientation of the adolescents-respondents; What is the cognitive ability profile of the adolescent-respondents; Is there a significant relationship between cognitive ability profiles and adjustment profiles of the adolescent-respondents; Is there a significant difference in the adolescents' cognitive ability profiles when they are grouped according to sexual orientation; Is there a significant difference in the adolescents' adjustment profiles when they are grouped according to sexual orientation; and based on the findings of the study, what quality educational program can be recommended. This study used mixed method type of research utilizing standardized questionnaires as follows: Guliford - Zimmerman Temperament Survey-norms for sexual orientations, Purdue Non-Language Test-norms for the mental or cognitive ability, and Bell's Adjustment Inventory-norms for the adjustment profiles of the adolescents. Purposive sampling technique was done in this study (based from the criteria set by the researcher) in choosing its respondents from the four selected locales. The results of the study showed that: most of the adolescent respondents belong to low sexual orientation for masculinity; they have average cognitive ability; the adjustment profiles were average except for the health adjustment which was described as poor and the masculinity/ femininity adjustment was strongly feminine; there was no significant relationship between the cognitive ability profile and the adjustment profile; there was a significant difference between the cognitive ability profiles when they were grouped according to sexual orientation and there was no significant difference between the adjustment profiles when they were grouped according to sexual orientation. It is recommended that: there should be an awareness of the sexual roles and responsibilities at home and in school, organize seminars or workshops through the military youth organizations on new life skills, organize activities like sports competitions in the military communities that will keep the adolescents busy, parental training of parents living in the military camps on the importance of discipline and moral values, community involvement through the Officers' Ladies club by developing materials for parents on the following subjects: growth and development of adolescents, self care and coping strategies, parenting styles and stress management, the military leaders who are in position to offer assistance should develop policies and programs to support military families and offer financial assistance to sustain the programs; more research on military families in the Philippine setting should be done where a partnership between the civilian sectors and military in these researches should be encouraged. They should work together to develop interventions to promote optimal development of children of military families.
