ABSTRACT: This study explores the development and implementation of a Smart Columbarium Navigation system for the Garden of the Divine Word Columbary, integrating Geographical Information System (GIS) technology with Fuzzy Logic algorithms. The lack of a dedicated geolocation application creates substantial difficulties in navigating infrastructure. Currently, users depend on conventional wayfinding methods, which are often inefficient and time-consuming. The research addresses the growing challenges faced by visitors in navigating complex modern columbariums and locating specific niches. The system incorporates a user-friendly interface for appointment scheduling and management, enhancing the experience for both visitors and staff. Advanced data collection methods were employed to improve the precision and comprehensiveness of landscape assessment, ensuring accurate and analysis of spatial and environmental factors. GIS technology was leveraged to create detailed, accurate maps of the columbarium, integrating spatial data with niche information for improved navigation and operational efficiency. The system successfully met its primary objectives, the neural responses in some areas suggest opportunities for further optimization. This study demonstrates the potential of integrating GIS and Fuzzy Logic in funerary contexts, paving the way for innovations in memorial space management and enhancing the overall visitor experience in columbarium.
