ABSTRACT: Salvage and documentation of sites within the walls of Intramuros, especially where developments areplanned to take place is being required by the Intramuros Administration, pursuant to Republic Act 4846 (CulturalProperties Preservation and Protection Act) and Republic Act 10066 (National Cutural Heritage Act). The conduct ofarchaeological research on these sites is of utmost importancenot only because it will provide material evidences to support the long and rich history that defined Manila, but will also help us have a better understanding on how the early Filipinos communicated and established relations with other nations in the region.
