Soy Yogurt, locally known as taho, is a Philippine snack food made of fresh soft/silken tofu, arnibal (brown sugar and vanilla syrup), and pearl sago (similar to pearl tapioca). This staple comfort food is a signature sweet and can be found all overt the country. Many Filipinos, especially children enjoy this snack. Aside from being a sweet treat, it is also healthy. It gives the body protein, improves bone health, reduces risk of heart disease and even prevents certain types of cancer. An innovation of taho introduced recently, the Flavored taho. The difference between this new breed with the old one is, of course the flavour. These flavoured taho could be found in some shopping malls where it is served hot or cold. Though the product has the potential of growing, it didn’t click in the market because it is served differently. Unlike the traditional manner wherein taho vendors peddle their products to the public, the mall stands are stationary and the customers would not effort going near such as stalls just to buy taho. The business should rather be introduced to a market where the demand for taho is high. And the perfect place place to set it up is near residential area. In these places, a vendor goes around peddling for Taho. This mode of selling is perfect for the product because it is a morning snack, therefore people during that time would not effort to go far just to avail taho. With this at hand, it is best to have the flavoured taho be sold through the peddling. Aside from reaching the right customers, this will also make the product boom in the market and therefore, generate more profit.
