ABSTRACT: This study introduces UniDorm Finder, an innovative mobile application meticulously designed to address the challenges faced by college students in finding suitable dormitory accommodations. The research focuses on developing a uder-friendly interface, integrating an occupancy rate forecasting feature, and incorporating geolocation technology to optimize the dormitory search process. UniDorm Finder stands out as a reliable and high-performance tool, enhancing room utilization, revenue, and the overall dormitory experience through its unique features. The integration of an occupancy rate forecasting feature elevates the application, contributing to informed decision-making and transparency in the dormitory search process. Additionally, the incorporation of geolocation technology facilitates seamless navigation and precise display of dormitory locations. The study’s comprehensive evaluation of UniDorm Finder across three key objectives reveals consistently positive results. Usability and performance, assessed in Objective 1, receive a mean score of 4.10 with a standard deviation of 0.76, categorizing it as “Very Good.” Objective 2, focusing on the occupancy forecasting feature, achieves a mean score of 4.44 and a standard deviation of 0.64, also falling within the “Very Good” rating. Evaluation of Objective 3, centered around the geolocation feature, yields a mean score of 4.23 and a standard deviation of 0.79, indicating a “Very Good” performance. The overall average mean score across all objectives is 4.26, with a standard deviation of 0.73, maintaining the “Very Good” rating. These positive results collectively affirm UniDorm Finder’s commendable functionality, efficiency, and usability, showcasing its transformative impact on the dormitory search process. UniDorm Finder emerges as a valuable and effective tool, aligned with the study’s overarching goal of revolutionizing the dormitory search experience within the university settings.
