A review on the effectivity of disaster risk reduction management plan of brgy. 291 in Escolta Manila : a context for cultural heritages sites protection

The aim of this study is to serve a comprehensive review of the effectiveness of the DRRM plan to protect Barangay 291's cultural heritage sites, preserving their historical and cultural significance while enhancing disaster preparedness. The chapter used qualitative content analysis and thematic analysis of interview transcripts. This study used an adopted for the interview that the SOP 2 and SOP 3 findings highlight Barangay 291's DRRM efforts in protecting historical sites. The research concludes that Barangay 291's DRRM plan demonstrates efforts to safeguard cultural heritage sites, challenges such as limited resources, insufficient public awareness, and poor coordination with stakeholders its overall effectiveness. It is recommended that Barangay 291 enhance its disaster risk reduction strategies by fostering stronger partnerships with heritage conservation organizations to effectively protect cultural heritage sites.
