To fully assess the shared services operations, a survey was conducted within the five departments of the company and further studied the opportunities and threats to evaluate environmental factors that affect and will affect the company going forward. Moreover, internal assessment using strengths and weaknesses study was made to further grasp a holistic view of the factors that affect the company. After consolidating all factors strategic management tools were used to identify which strategies are applicable given the current conditions and positioning of TBPSI. Moreover, strategic and financial objectives were formulated and financial plan from 2019 to 2023 was made to further support feasibility of different strategies laid down. Moreover, balanced scorecard was created at the end part of this paper to ensure all strategies have corresponding action items and target to support program execution. Summing up all strategies presented in this paper, TBPSI must prioritize Business KPl development, which is weighed highest in the critical success factor, and product/services development through developing of existing talents within the company.

The strategic management paper discusses Teekay Business Process
Services Inc. (TBPSI), a shared services office of Teekay Corporation located
