(MGI or the Group), one of the major foodservice operators in the industry, in the author's attempt to identify and formulate viable strategies appropriate to the corporation in maintaining and increasing its leadership in the industry. This paper begins with an industry analysis, establishing the context of the current status of the global and domestic foodservice industry. This is followed by the External and Internal Environment Analyses to derive the most viable strategy that suits the Group to continue its leadership in the foodservice industry. Opportunities, threats, strengths, and weaknesses identified from the external and internal scanning and other relevant findings influenced strategy formulation. From this, strategic and financial objectives were deduced and translated into business strategies through strategic management tools.
