In the fixed line telecommunications market, Eastern is still a niche telecommunications service provider, focusing its efforts in doing business to the enterprise and SME market, hence a market share of 5.47%. In 2018, the company managed to grow its operating revenue by 16.32% from the previous year and has Php 2,723,209,716 annual operating revenue in 2018. Despite continuous revenue growth during the previous years, there are still opportunities that the company can still pursue, to increase its current market share. Looking at the current state of telco services penetration in the Philippines, there is still room for improvement in reaching out to the population not capture by the current laid out infrastructure. One opportunity is the increase in spending of property developers in new townships, the upcoming projects under "Build, Build, Build" program and to cater to the rise in number of BPO companies investing in the Philippines. Another opportunity also worth looking at is the increase in the need to be protected from malwares and phishing threats in the internet. With the use of several strategic management tools, it was identified that it is best to employ market development.
