ABSTRACT:
The hospitality industry is one of the largest contributors to the growth of the world’s economy. This is one of the most stressful areas of work. Due to the wide scope, this field requires a lot of workers and any a stable workforce for continued growth. Thus, it results in a massive amount of job stress, which can affect the quality and performance of the employee’s work. When the Covid 19 virus enters the world, tourism and hospitality hardly experience unprecedented challenges. This study aims to determine the different types of coping mechanisms for various factors affecting the work performance of Employees and Staff of Ramada Encore Hotel Makati during Covid 19 pandemic, and to evaluate the effectiveness of present coping mechanisms. Furthermore, in order to conduct the study, a quantitative research methodology was used where survey questionnaires were given to the employees and staff. The findings resulted in e effective with regard to the coping mechanisms. In addition, the findings also implies that the least frequently used among the coping mechanisms indicates the statement “Requesting fair and reasonable benefits” yet this was the most effective among the others.
