ABSTRACT : The cotton leafhopper, Amrasca biguttula Ishida is one of the serious pests of cotton in the Philippines. Heavy infestation of cotton leafhopper on cotton impairs growth, and reduces number of bolls and seedcotton yield from 40 to 100 percent. Information available about this pest in cotton in the Philippines is reviewed in this paper. Its taxonomy, distribution, life history, ecology, phenology and control measures are discussed. 56
