EXECUTIVE SUMMARY: Rustan Marketing Specialists, Inc. (RMSI) is the major franchise of Marks & Spencer in the Philippines and currently operates 24 M & S stores in leading shopping malls in the country. It was established in January 1, 1997 as an outsourcing/offshoring company. It was created due to the continuous success of Marks & Spencer in the Philippines in becoming a chain of shop offering a wider range of products in larger and better stores. Marks and Spencer Philippines is a popular clothing line which caters both women and men's wear, and it also offers various products related to fashion. As of 2014, it assets is about 1.9 billion pesos and it currently has 14 stores in Metro Manila, 6 Provincial Stores and 2 outlet stores. However, after analysing its 5 year financial statements ranging from 2010 up to 2014, we found out that it has problems on improving the level of inventories sold for the past 3 years. Also, the current ratio is low, because most of the liabilities incurred are current liabilities. The cash is also too low and considering the amount of current liabilities and slow turnover period of inventories the company can be said to be illiquid. Considering the company's position in the market, the proponents of this plan have proposed to improved the level of inventories sold of the company and maintain a predictable growth on its sales. By increasing the sales, the company can offset all its other problems regarding liquidity.
