ABSTRACT : Simultaneous carcinomas involving both the ovary and endometrium may cause a diagnostic dilemma, particularly if tumors present a similar histology. Here is a case of a 55 years old G3P3(3003). with a chief complaint of menopausal bleeding. Exploratory laparotomy, Peritoneal Fluid Cytology, Extrafascial Hysterectomy with palpatation of lymphnodes was done, which revealed synchronous endometrial and ovarian carcinoma. Histopathologic report showed both of which were endometriod adenocarcinoma. moderately differentiated. This paperdiscussess the criteria which could be used to delineate whether ovarian and endometrial carcinoma in situ are two synchronous primaries or rather a metastasis from single source. The importyance of which is for proper diagnosis, prognosis and further management.
