<br/><br/> ABSTRACT:  	The study deals with the identification and prevalence of gastro-intestinal parasites among students aged 4-6 in two schools in Bragy. 183, Pasay City was conducted from October to December 2005 using three techniques ; Kato-Thick Modified Smear, Harada-Mori Culture and Formalin-ether Concentration Technique.  	Out of the 400 total number of pupulation, only 147 subjects participated 80 from boys and 67 from girls. Two helminthic parasites A. lumbricoides and T. Trichiura were found and identified while no species of protozoa were detected.   	The overall results above that 69 (46.94%) of the total population were infected with parasites: 44 (55%) boys and 25 (38.81%) girls were positive in the infection. Among the parasites A. lumbricoides was the most prevalent (33.33%) Subjects under 6 years old showed higher infection rate compared to ages 4 and 5. It was found out that the age and gender of the students are the risk factors affecting the parasitic infection.
