Psychology) - Pamantasan ng Lungsod ng Maynila. 2016; 5 N2 - ABSTRACT: Most people searched for an efficient way to improve their memory. In relation to this the researcher seeks if color has a significant effect in the memory retention of an individual. The study was conducted on 2016 in the Pamantasan ng Lungsod ng Maynila. It aims to find if there are significant difference whether it is positive or negative, between color and memory retention among senior high students whose program is in Accountancy and Business Management (ABM). Having 85 participants, using a purposive sampling with an assumption that the participant must not be color blind was used to determine the sample representing the target population. The said participants must pass first the Inchihara color blind test to be permitted to conduct the study. The material used for the test experiment has four different set of conditions, specifically; white background with black font (Set 1), black background with white font (Set 2), white background with colored font (set 3), and black background with colored font (set 4). The results of these conditions were compared and statistically analysed using dependent t-test, with p value (<0.05), it results shows no statistical significance of color between memory retention.
