Psychology) - Pamantasan ng Lungsod ng Maynila, 2018; 5 N2 - ABSTRACT: Academic resilience is one of the main component of the students in having a good academic performance. Burnout considered as one of the main reason why some students has low level of academic output. The aim of this study was to know the relationship between academic resilience and burnout. A hypothesis formed; there is no significant relationship between academic resilience and burnout. A proportionate stratified random sampling was used to gather 373 students from different colleges. Academic Resilience Scale by Cassidy and Oldenburg Burnout Inventory Survey was used. Frequency distribution, mean and Pearson Product Moment Correlation Coefficient were utilized to describe data gathered from the participants. Academic resilience and burnout were found significant, moderate negatively correlated and null hypothesis was rejected. To conclude, the result shows that the higher the level of academic resilience, the lower the level of burnout regardless the number of academic school works they had. Also, students having average level of burnout may decreased students productivity and it has effect on their academic performances. The research recommends a propose program to sustain Academic Resilience ER -
