For every nation, cultural varieties affect the food choice and their dining preference in different places. This study discusses the perception of foreign tourists in Binondo as a new destination for food tourism in terms of accessibility, food choices, location, and safety and security. The researchers conducted this study to determine the perception of tourists to Binondo as food tourism destination. Descriptive method of research was used with survey questionnaire as the instrument utilized in gathering the needed data. The researchers searched out for respondents who have been visited Binondo. The data gathered were tabulated and statistically solved through Chi square method. It was established that there is a significant relationship between the foreign tourists profile in terms of age, nationality and number of visits and their perception of foreign tourist in Binondo as a food tourism destination in terms of accessibility, food choices, location and safety and security. The following recommendations were derived from the findings and conclusions, the researchers hereby recommended the following: The business owners and food entrepreneurs must be aware of the perception of foreign tourists towards their food business to improve the quality of their food so that they will be able to attract more customers in order to increase revenues. The cost of foods must get along with the taste and quality of foods that the tourists consume. The management of the restaurants must also keep the Chinese culture in foods despite of having varieties of food that they offer. The researchers would also like to recommend to the management of Binondo to create something that would encouyrage and attract the tourists to go to Binondo even without a season such as Chinese New Year. It is also recommended to the management of the destination to add more architectural structures that can also an attraction aside from the food that it offers. Binondo can be designated and promoted as a new food tourism destination in the Philippines which will help to increase the tourist arrival in the Philippines and the popularity of Binondo itself being the world's oldest Chinatown. Moreover, it can also be included in the culinary tour itineraries of DOT for tourists who seek to experience sometining new. The researchers would like to recommend to the DPWH develop good road networks such as bridges, roads and others relating to it that will help to lessen the traffic in the area and improve the accessibility in Binondo. It is recommendable to the Manila Police District Station 3 to deploy police officer/s roaming around Binondo to ensure the safety and security of tourists especially at night time. The researchers would like to recommend to the tourists to go to Binondo after their visit in tourist attractions in Manila such as Intramuros and Luneta Park, for food tripping adventure since it is close to these attractions and is accessible. For tourists who have noidea what restaurant to visit, they can go to Estero Fast Food, Chuan Kee Fast Food, Masuki, Sushi Yum, and Wai Ying Fast Food. The recommendable foods to try were Dimsum such as Siopao, Siomai, Xia Long Bao, Hakao, ect; Noodles such as Fried Wanton, Ramen, Ducj, Misua; and Soup No. 5 which refers to bulls testicles. Soup No. 5 or bulls testicles is their best seller and is most unique dish in Binondo. This study may provide as reference for the future research work of students, and give them knowledge in their field of specialization.
