There is no significant relationship between Inflation Rate and the financial performances of San Francisco Del Monte Rural Bank, Inc., in terms of: Research Approach and Design The researchers followed the correlation type of research design. It is conducted to establish the fact the outcome of certain patterns of relationships occur together in a specified manner without suggesting that one variable causes the other variable to change. Since the objective of our study is to determine the relationship and whether the effect of inflation to the profitability of the San Francisco Del Monte Rural Bank is positively or negatively correlated, this type of research design is used. The Subjects The respondents of the study are the employees of San Francisco Del Monte Rural Bank, whose job description is fitted on the criteria used for the given sampling method research. The bank is located at 958-964 Del Monte Avenue, Frisco, Quezon City. It was chosen as the subject of research after being referred by the Rural Bankers Association of the Philippines (RBABP). The Research Instrument The Researcher used secondary data for this research, which includes information from Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC), National Statistics Office, and Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas (BSP). The researcher used financial statement from the SEC in order to get the ROE, ROA, GIM, and NIM of the bank from 2004-2013. The headline inflation rate which was published and calculated by the National Statistics Office (NSO) was used to gather the inflation rate. Financial Statement and Inflation rate were accustomed to answer the general problem of this study. The researcher also conducted a personal interview to know other information that only their head can answer. Such questions include the company profile; history of the bank; bank's profitability; measurement used for its profitability; its non-performing loans and the effects of inflation to its profitability. Another interview was conducted by the researchers to the Project Manager of Rural Bankers Association of the Philippines (RBAP). The researcher had difficult time looking for a target rural bank. Consecutive refusals to interview by the rural banks lead to the researchers asking for help from Rural Bankers Association of the Philippines (RBAP). The interview with their Project Manager contains the nature of the association, its functions and roles to rural banks, and the bank that can be the subject of this research ER -
