ABSTRACT This research investigates the influence of personal determinants on the acceptance of digital payment platforms within selected retail stores in SM Manila. Anchored in the Technology Acceptance Model (TAM) and Technology-Organization-Environment Framework, the study develops a conceptual framework comprising personal determinants, perceived ease of use, perceived usefulness, attitude, and intention. Employing a descriptive correlational research design, a cross-sectional survey involving 400 respondents explores key factors influencing digital payment platform acceptance. Data management utilizes Google Forms, and a simple random sampling design ensures representativeness. The study employs Likert scales for data collection and undergoes rigorous validation and reliability testing. Statistical treatment involves descriptive and inferential analyses, including Spearman Rho correlation. Ethical considerations prioritize participant voluntariness, data privacy, and legal compliance. Findings reveal a predominantly young adult, female customer base with a high level of agreement on personal determinants' impact on acceptance. Results also indicate a significant positive correlation between personal determinants and acceptance. The study concludes that personal determinants strongly influence digital payment platform acceptance in SM Manila's retail sector. Recommendations include exploring additional determinants, conducting cross-sectional analyses across branches, and examining intentions to continue using digital payment platforms. Implications extend to academia and retail strategy, emphasizing a nuanced understanding of factors shaping digital payment adoption.
