ABSTRACT: This study examined how the hiring process, the gateway for individuals to join an organization, significantly influenced selection decisions. Specifically, it investigated influence of organizational culture and person-organization fit (P-O fit) on recruitment decisions within the retail sector of Makati and Pasig. The study used a survey to collect data from a sample of 114 members of the hiring processing team involved in hiring decisions based on Jaya et al.'s (2017) study. Drawing on past research that analyzed the shortcomings of organizational diversity programs, this study specifically explored the impact of four organizational culture features and four person-organization fit areas using regression model analysis to identify the relative importance of each independent variable in predicting the recruitment decision. Through this method, the researchers aimed to unravel the complexities guiding selection processes within hiring teams. Additionally, an Analysis of Variance (ANOVA) table supplemented the regression model, providing essential insights into variance decomposition and the overall significance of the model's components in explaining recruitment decision-making factors.
