By examining the perspectives and experiences of the mentioned transport cooperatives, the research aims to understand their current financial conditions, capabilities, and willingness to participate in the PUVMP. This paper specifically targeted the board members of the jeepney transport cooperatives in the National Capital Region (NCR) who have in-depth knowledge of running traditional jeepneys. NCR was chosen for its prominence as a heavily urbanized region and a hub of governmental, financial, and social activities. The primary data were collected through a survey questionnaire, where the researchers can gather insights directly from the transport cooperatives regarding their perspectives on this transition. Using Slovin's method, a sample size of 75 was chosen, with a required degree of precision of 0.05, for the study, which included 92 cooperatives as its population. Findings of this study present the assessment of the respondents of the jeepney modernization through their respective perspectives and experiences. Results showed that jeepney modernization is positively assessed by the respondents in terms of the initial investment Cost, revenue potential, operating cost, financing facilities, and financial risks. Furthermore, the study reveals that the jeepney transport cooperatives who have already operated modern jeepneys have received financial assistance from either the Landbank of the Philippines (LBP) SPEED PUV Program or the Development Bank of the Philippines PASADA Financing Program, and the LTFRB-DOTr Equity Subsidy. On the other hand, transport cooperatives who haven't operated modern jeepneys are either considering or in the process of acquiring modern jeepneys. The study has also found out that there is no significant relationship between traditional jeepney transport cooperatives' perspectives and those of modern jeepney transport cooperatives' experiences towards the jeepney modernization. Finally, the research generally recommends utilizing financing schemes and making use of one or mixed assistance from the available financing facilities from the government, which may be accompanied by internal and external financing.
