ABSTRACT: This research paper focuses on assessing the level of satisfaction of the residents of Brgy. 778, Zone 85, Sta. Ana, Manila on the healthcare services of Buhay Mahalaga Health Center by considering how their expectations correlates with their satisfaction ratings. A survey questionnaire was conducted among 119 households who once availed the healthcare services of Buhay Mahalaga. It included a 40-item questionnaire divided into two parts: one is composed of what the residents anticipate to receive prior to their visit, and the other measures their level of satisfaction after acquiring the healthcare services using the same set of questionnaires. By comparing what residents wxpect to receive with what they actually experienced, it helps predict whether they feel satisfied or dissatisfied with the acquired healthcare services. Determinant factors such as accessibility, quality of care, communication, and conditions of the facilities were used as indicators to measure the residents satisfaction. The study revealed high expectation for accessibility, communication, and quality of care, while conditions on the facilities have shown varying results on expectations. In terms of their level of satisfaction, results revealed that respondents were generally “satisfied” with quality of care, communication, and facility conditions, but are “dissatisfied” with accessibility. Additionally, when correlating the residents expectations with their satisfaction rating, only the expectations on conditions of the facility have a significant relationship with the satisfaction rating while the expectations for quality of care, accessibility, and communication did not. These findings highlight areas for improvement, offering insights for policymakers and healthcare providers to address inefficiencies by developing policies and interventions that wll enhance the effectiveness of local healthcare service delivery.
