Through time Filipino komiks has encountered different struggles which caused its downfall, but then, the new medium of publication came to light internet served as a great avenue for the artists to share their works and to cater a large number of audience easily. It allows independent komiks creators to create their komiks from scratch and managing it entirely without working for a komiks publishers that also allows them to distribute online. Generally, this study aims to determine the experiences, challenges and motivation of the selected Filipino Independent komiks creators on the production process of Filipino komiks as a basis for video production. Specifically, it seeks to determine the experiences and challenges of the selected Filipino independent komiks creators on the production process of Filipino komiks in terms of writing, illustrating and publishing. Next is to determine the motivations of the selected Filipino independent komiks creators in choosing the komiks industry and by staying on it. And lastly is to determine how do these selected independent komiks creators foresee the future of the komiks industry in the country. The researchers used the descriptive method which gives meaning to the quality and significance of a situation, beliefs and attitudes through an in depth analysis of cats. The researcher also used the case study research design form of qualitative research in order to document the experiences, challenges and motivation of the selected komiks creators. In order to arrive at the analytical description about the study, the researchers conducted interview as it allowed the researchers to obtain information by means of personal interaction between respondents and researchers. The researches featured and described the experiences, challenges and motivations of the three case studies namely M. Ricardo Guiao Jr., , Mr. Gio Paredes and Dr. Carlo San Juan. Based on the study, these independent komiks creators have different styles in creating komiks stories. They have different methods in terms of writing, illustrating and publishing their komiks, though they all use both traditional and digital medium. The researchers highly recommend this study to individuals and organizations concerned and interested in the Philippine komiks industry.
