This paper aims to know the effects having a grade retention policy to the students resolve in pursuing the Accountancy program, how the students perceive such policy, and how the students view its totality. The researchers studied some Student Integration Theories to be able to understand the totality and importance of having such retention policy to the school and especially to the students. This research used the Mixed Method, an approach employing both Quantitative and Qualitative Method, and used non-random sampling technique in the data gathering procedure. This research shows that although the students tend to become pressured because of the grade retention, the effect of having this policy for them, as a whole, is positive. Having a grade retention policy gives them more motivation to study and helps them in preparing for the future Certified Public Accountant (CPA) board exam. This research will provide valuable information for the College of Accountancy in Pamantasan ng Lungsod ng Maynila regarding the retention requirements and will give them recommendations to further improve the implementation ER -
