One means of doing this is by utilizing the Internet. Information that is stored in database should be converted in a format that could effectively describe and display it in the Net. The web format that is capable of doing this is XML format. Modern Database Management Systems (DBMSs) are now capable of exporting their databases into XML format, one of which is Microsoft's Access XP. However, its method of exportation does come with flaws. First, only a single table can be exported to an XML file. Second, the u8ser cannot choose the specific fields in the table that he only needs. And lastly, the style sheet that is generated can neither be customized nor be displayed properly. Because of this, the proponents thought of a utility to address these current problems. The utility's objectives are to allow the user to choose multiple tables and specific fields from a database and to allow the user to customize the style sheet based on his preferences. As an output, the utility will be creating two files per session. The first one is an XSL file that serve as the style sheet for the project and the second one is an XML file that will contain the exported data. Once the XML file is opened in a browser, it will be processed with is corresponding XSL style sheet to produce a web page, complete with its formatting details ER -
