<br/><br/> ABSTRACT:  	Smartphones are widely used by people; that includes individuals with disabilities like the blind and visually impaired. Individuals that have that kind of disabilities are incapable  of communicating (with the use of smartphone) by means of calling without any assistance from another individual. The node based dialer is suitable for people with disabilities like the blind and visually impaired to call be gesturing the number into to smartphone.  	This study presents the enhancement of the Nodes Based (NBD) Algorithm applied in a Mobile Phone Dialer for Blind and Visually Impaired Person. NBD Algorithm is a node based algorithm which uses nodes as its input to represent digit points to formulate a digit from 0 to 9 if visited and will come up with the output that is a set of digits representing the phone number to be dialed.  	Through thorough simulation of the existing algorithm, the researchers found out that the existing algorithm has many limitations. First, it can only recognize sequence of nodes that the existing algorithm has many limitations. First, it can only recognize sequence of nodes that represents a digit from 0 to 9. Second, the starting node is limited only to either node 1 or node 2 which make it incapable of recognizing other possible sequence of nodes. Also, the algorithm is not equipped with functions of redialing previously contacted number as well as setting up speed dials.  	This study aims for the algorithm to recognize sequence of nodes that can represent letters for us to be used as input in dialing and when accessing the phone book, to start at a node other than node 1 or node 2, and to include functions to redial previously contacted numbers as well as to set up speed dials.
