ABSTRACT: In this study, identification and abundance of collected brachyurans or true crabs were determined. Physico-chemical Parameters were also measured, including temperature, salinity, pH and dissolved oxygen (DO). Significant differences of three stations in the three month sampling, and correlation of abundance and the parameters were carried out as well. Three stations for collection were established, each measuring 100 square meters. Rocky, sandy and sea grass were chosen as substrates for the stations. Handpicking was the method for collection. Species were anesthesized in ice, and preserved in 95% and 70% of ethyl alcohol. Identification was given full interest using researched taxonomic key and former thesis; counted, tallied, jmeasured and finally photographed. In all, twenty-five (25) species were identified by the researcher, belonging to 11 families. Metopograpsus messor of Family Grapsidae was determined most abundant and variety of edible and non-edible species were collected. Abundance was most observed in the Sea grass station. Significant differences were not observed in months of September and November, but existed in stations 2 (sandy) and 3 (sea grass) for the month of October. Computations confirm high positive correlation for temperature, pH and abundance; and low negative correlation for salinity, dissolved oxygen and abundance.
