Web-based student concerns management system using natural language processing with data analytics - Undergraduate Thesis: (Bachelor of Science in Information Technology) - Pamantasan ng Lungsod ng Maynila, 2024.

ABSTRACT: The capstone project, entitled “Web-based Student Concerns Management System using Natural Language Processing with Data Analytics” addresses the limitations of traditional student concerns handling methods by leveraging emerging technologies. The study explores the integration of Natural Language Processing (NLP) and Data Analytics to streamline and enhance the efficiency of managing student concerns. The system aims to provide enhanced analytics, and improved workflow to address challenges such as inadequate concern management, inefficient query processing, and limited insights in the current system. The objectives encompass creating a user-friendly web-based system, enhancing complaint management, and integrating data analytics for visual reports. The study’s significance lies in benefiting students, future researchers, and developes by offering efficient support, contributing to technology integration, and fostering career growth. The scope focuses on the College of Engineering at Pamantasan ng Lungsod ng Maynila, with limitations on the use of accessible NLP models and data analytics techniques. The research methodology follows the Agile Development Methodology, and data collection involves survey questionnaires to evaluate user satisfaction. The study utilizes purposive sampling and employs descriptive statistics for data analysis. The system evaluation adheres to employment of confusion matrix for accuracy testing and ISO 25010 standards, emphasizing functional suitability, performance efficiency, usability, reliability, and security. Results indicate high user satisfaction, with recommendations including features for urgency designation, image uploading, increased security, and continuous performance monitoring. The study concludes that the primary objective of enhancing complaint handling has been achieved, showcasing the potential for further improvements and innovations in the future.
