ABSTRACT: Despite prior cleanup efforts, the Estero de Paco, a vital waterway in Paco, Manila, continues to face persistent domestic waste management challenges that necessitate innovative solutions to sustain its cleanliness and ecological balance. Traditional methods have proven ineffective, emphasizing the need for more cutting-edge systems. This research proposes a prototype named Drone Sweeper. An Estero Water Waste Collector equipped with image processing to identify and collect four classifications of water waste: leaves, plastic cups, wrappers, and small plastic bottles. The study aims to develop a more effective and eco-friendly domestic waste management system that ensures the ongong cleanliness and health of Estero de Paco. One of the main challenges this research addresses is the lack of proper sewerage infrastructure, neglect of waste disposal, and illegal dumping, all of which significantly obstruct the waterway's function. The integration of image processing systems into the Drone Sweeper offers a promising solution by enhancing the efficiency and accuracy of waste identification and collection,thereby tackling pollution more effectively and improving the overall conditrion of the Estero. Furthermore, deploying this cutting-edge technology highlights the potential for sustainable domestic waste management practices that could benefit the local community and the environment. By ensuring the identification and collection of common waste items, the Drone Sweeper plays a crucial role in maintaining the ecological balance and supporting the waterway's health, thus contributing to the broader goal of urban environmental sustainability.
