ABSTRACT: Tik Tok is a platform for creating, sharing, and watching short videos, and one of its many trends is food reviews. With their captivating visuals and engaging commentary, these food reviews have the potential to influence consumers with their expectations regarding quality. However, there is a potential disconnect between the expectations formed by TikTok food reviews and the actual quality experienced by consumers who dine at Ugbo Food Street. Ugbo, being one of the many food spots that have gained popularity because of Tiktok, is the location of the study. The study investigates whether TikTok food reviews create certain expectations regarding the food quality at Ugbo, whether these expectations align with PLM undergraduates actual dining experience, and whether there is a relationship between expectations and customer experience. A descriptive and correlational approach was applied, utilizing an online survey method to collect data through survey questionnaires. PLM undergraduates who had watched TikTok food reviews and subsequently dined at Ugbo were eligible respondents for the survey. The study garnered responses from 104 PLM Undergraduates through purposive sampling. Both descriptive and inferential statistics were applied to analyze and interpret the findings. Overall, the study shows that TikTok Food Reviews influences PLM undergraduates expectations and that there exists a positive monotonic relationship between food quality expectations and customer experience.
