ABSTRACT: Increasing prices of basic commodities and insufficient incomes contributes to the growing problems of food scarcity. As a consequence, malnutrition has become prevalent among marginalized communities in the Philippines. As a part of aiding these emerging needs, the researchers conducted this study with regards with an alternative, cheaper yet nutritious food. Hence, this study is conducted to determine the community's acceptance on our proposed treatment, the inabraw also known as dinengdeng. This study aims to generate a hypothesization on the acceptability of inabraw to non-Yluko homemakers. Descriptive-correlation survey is used as the research design to realize the significance of this study. The researchers invited thirty-three (33) homemakers of the said community as the respondents regardless of gender. In order to collect the necessary data, the researchers organized a cooking demonstration of inabraw held in the maternity clinic of Barangay Cuyegkeng - May Tubig, Pasay City. After the cooking demonstration, a taste was done followed by the distribution of questionnaires for more organized and properly documented information. Moreover, for the statistical measures such as frequency, percentage, mean, and Pearson r were used to determine the correlation of the indicators per se. Based on the results of the study, it was established that majority of the respondents-homemakers has independent perceptions towards the characteristics of inabraw as well as their acceptability to include inabraw as part of their diet. Based on the statistical data presented, it is highly evident as presented in the data procured that inabraw is a cheaper, easy to cook, and has a palatable presentation. Through this the respondents-homemakers would likely include and recommend inabraw to their household diet and neighbors respectively. Therefore, as inabraw was introduced in the community, the researchers can hereby say that it is accepted by the majority of the respondents.
