It is important to give them the quality of care that they deserve since they are less vigorous in the society. The healthcare providers play an important role in giving the quality of care to help them to gain their independence and in being committed for the continuity of an effective provision of their needs and recognition of their existence as contributors to nation building and development. The researchers decided to conduct this study based on their empirical observation and interest about the geriatric patients. The researchers want to contribute on how to improve and develop the quality care management given by the healthcare providers to geriatric patients. The study was conducted to investigate the safety attitudes of healthcare providers of geriatric patients related to quality care management. Distinctively, the investigation sought to answer the following questions. 1. What is the demographic profile of the respondents in terms of: 1.1 Age 1.2 Gender 1.3 Civil Status 1.4 Length of Service 2. What are the safety attitude of healthcare providers towards geriatric patients in terms of: 2.1 Cognitive component 2.2 Affective component 2.3 Behavioral component 3. What are the perceptions of the geriatric patients on quality in terms of: 3.1 Structure 3.2 Process 3.3 Outcome 4. Is there a significant relationship between the demographic profile and the safety attitude of the respondents? 5. Is there a significant relationship between the safety attitude of the respondents and the perception of the geriatric patients on quality care management? 6. Based on the findings of the study, what safety attitude of the respondents needs enhancement? The conceptual framework adapts that safety attitudes of health care providers of geriatric patients may have (or may have not) possible association with quality care management. The following null hypothesis was formulated: Ho1: There is no significant relationship between the demographic profile and safety attitude of the respondents. Ho2: There is no significant relationship between the safety attitude of the respondents and the perception of the geriatric patients on quality care management. A descriptive study was used in presenting the answers to the research problems. The study was conducted at the Geriatric Residential Care Services in Manila Boys Town Complex at Parang Marikina City. The study population is composed of 30 respondents, 15 from the health care provider and 15 from the geriatric patients respectively. A purposive sampling was done. The research study utilized the Likert Scale. The questionnaire is composed of two sets. The first pertains to the safety attitudes of the health care providers and the second set pertains to the safety attitudes of the health care providers and the second set pertains to the quality care management of the care providers based on the geriatrics perceptions. Percentage distribution , weighted mean, chi-square , and Pearson r were used for computation. The following findings were derived: 1. The demographic profile of the respondents according to their age group, were said to be 20 to 40 years old. In terms of gender, female are the majority of the respondents. In terms of gender, female are the majority of the respondents. In terms of civil status, those who are single got the highest frequency and percentage of 8 and 55.30%, respectively. In terms of length of service, majority of the respondents have worked from 3 to 5 years. 2. All components of safety attitudes were very much evident in the health care providers. 3. The perception of the patients on the level of quality care management rendered by the health care providers was generally very high. 4. Based on the findings, there was no significant relationship between their safety attitudes. 5. According to the assessment findings, the researchers identified the implications which reveal that there was a significant relationship between safety attitudes of health care providers that there was a significant relationship between safety attitudes of health care providers and patients perception of quality care management. 6. Based on the above implications, the researchers found out that health care providers in Luwalhati ng Maynila highly practice the observed safety attitudes when caring for the elderly. With this, the researchers found no safety attitude component which needs enhancement, However, among all the aspects of safety attitude, effective component obtained the lowest mean. The following recommendations are being forwarded based on the findings of the study: 1. That the health care providers are encouraged to continue or strengthen the holistic approach in giving care to the elderly, as well with other individuals. 2. That nursing education focus on a separate topic about caring of the elderly in their curriculum. 3. That the same research study be done with the following consideration: a. Private and public institutions that caters the elderly as locale. b. Greater number of respondents (health care provider and geriatric patients) as samples c. Other tools, scales, or instruments to measure, correlate or associate the safety attitudes of the health care providers and the quality care management based on the patients perception ER -
