<br/><br/> ABSTRACT:  	 The purpose of the study was to know the effectiveness of Kinesio Taping in treating mechanical low back pain, two healthy subjects with pain on low back pain area who were employees of Pamantasan ng Lungsod ng Maynila participated in the study. The study utilized a single group, pretest and posttest. Subjects were assessed using Visual Analogue Scale and Range of Motion (ROM) in active trunk-flexion, extension and lateral flexion. A dependent t test to compare the Pain Scales and ROM measurements before and after the application of Kinesio Tape after two consecutive weeks. No significant differences were found between pre-and-post-tape applications on both Pain Scale and ROM measurements. Based on the findings, the researchers had determined that the application of Kinesio Tape does not appear to reduce pain and to improve ROM in subjects with mechanical low back pain. Further research on effects of Kinesio Taping is warranted.
