The researcher tested if there is a significant relationship between the respondents' profile variables such as age, civil status, educational attainment, and work tenure on mental ability, personality, teaching aptitude, and teaching aptitude. Consequently, the researcher also threshed out the difference of teaching performance of full-time and part-time faculty members. The study employed the descriptive correlational method in identifying the factors that correlates teaching performance. In undertaking the study, a total of 83 faculty members from Lyceum of Batangas. The researcher utilized the results of the psychological tests (Culture-fair Intelligence test, Sixteen Personality Factor test, and Teaching Aptitude Test) and the teaching performance conducted by the HRMDO assistants. The data were encoded and entered into the Matrix Software Statistical Program for Social Sciences for Statistical Treatment. For the descriptive data, the frequency and percentage were used specifically in dealing with nominal data generated by demographic profile variables, age, civil status, educational attainment, employment status, work tenure. To ascertain the relationship of demographic variables and mental ability, teaching aptitude, and teaching performance; Chi- square was used. Correlational Matrix was employed in determining the demographic profile and personality. To determine the difference of teaching performance of full-time and part-time faculty, t-test was used. Majority of the respondents' ages range from 25 and below. The data for civil status shows that there are 53.01% are single. Educational attainment data clearly revealed the baccalaureate degrees and masteral degree have an equal number of respondents. Work tenure clearly shows that 42.17% have stayed for two years in the institution which has the majority number of respondents. Full-time faculty has the larger number over part-timers in which both of the majority fell under Very Satisfactory rating. Majority of the respondents lies in the low average level of mental ability. Only 1.20% has the score of Experiences teacher in the teaching aptitude test. Personality profile of the respondents shows prudence, controlled, and shrewd. Age, civil status, educational attainment, and employment status have no significance with mental ability, teaching aptitude, and teaching performance. However, work tenure is significantly relationship with the personality traits: tender-minded, controlled and placid. Conclusions were made based from the results of the study. Majority of the respondents young adults. Personality profile of the respondents suggests the good qualitites of an effective teacher such as prudence and controlled. Teaching performance is not significantly related with mental ability and teaching aptitude. They may not intellectually superior but they can bring success in teaching. In the light of the foregoing conclusions recommendations are hereby forwarded. The administration of Lyceum of Batangas should continuously support its faculty member in pursuing their post graduate studies.
