In an attempt to meet such objective, the researcher has thought of preparing instructional materials using humor as base in the selections. These proposed materials consist of fur lessons in four units. A scope and sequence chart is presented before the start of each lesson to show the subject matter treated in the lesson. Every effort is made to correlate and integrate language lessons with humor as the content. Each of the four lessons is presented in a format which includes the following: 1. Listening/speaking activities which feature grammatical structures to be taught. The listening selection is followed by activities that help the students in the comprehension of the text. 2. A selection on structure which presents, explains and illustrates the grammatical points to be learned. 3. A reading selection which provided activities in the development of reading skills. 4. Writing exercises which help the student write his thoughts clearly, using the structures learned. It is recommended that considering the demands for instructional materials, many more should try their hand at materials production, and this be included in seminars and workshops; That teachers writing instructional materials be morally and financially supported; That possibilities be explored to make these materials more comprehensive to come up with detailed teacher and student texts; That for effectivity and validity, there is a need of evaluating and field testing the materials to the group for whom they have been prepared ER -
