The researcher also aimed to find out if these variables are significantly related. This study used the Descriptive Sample Survey and Correlational Method of Research. An environmental knowledge test was distributed to determine adult-learner's knowledge of the fundamental concepts on the following: Air, Water, and Noise Pollution, Environmental Issues and Concepts, Life forms, Earth's Resources and Conservation of the Environment. Environmental Attitude and Practice Scales were also administered to obtain data regarding on the level of environmental attitude and practices of adult-learners. A pilot testing of the knowledge test was conducted and item analysis using U-L index method was used to determine the poorly constructed items which were rejected. The researcher used the process of Purposive Sampling Technique to gather the respondents of the study. The instruments were distributed on 163 adult-learners and they answered the questionnaire for one hour. After collecting the accomplish questionnaire, the researcher statistically treated the responses using SPSS at 0.05 level of significance. Percentage, Weighted Mean, Standard Deviation, Frequency, Ranking and Pearson Product Moment of Correlation were also used. The results showed that the adult0learners had a very low environmental knowledge scores, they attained an average level of attitudes and practices toward the environment. The finding in the correlation analysis proves a moderate positive significant relationship exists between these pair of variables: environmental knowledge and attitude, environmental knowledge and practice and environmental attitude and practice. The researcher presents the following recommendations such as updating and revisiting environmental education curriculum, observing environmental educational field trips every semester, include hands-on environmental problem solving activities in the instructional planning, forming a committee that monitors the implementation of environmental activities, conducting environmental education workshops, constant further studies on the effectiveness on the different science teaching and instructional strategies ER -
