Abstract: The implementation of QR code ordering systems has significantly transformed the way restaurant establishments engage with customers and deliver services, as demonstrated at Samgyupsalamat Malate. This study examines how QR code ordering enhances operational efficiency and customer satisfaction by streamlining the dining process, reducing wait times, and offering a self-service experience However, the study also identifies challenges, such as accessibility issues, usability concerns, and barriers to effective implementation
A quantitative research methodology was employed, gathering responses from 240 customers of various age groups who dined at Samgyupsalamat Malate. The survey addressed critical factors, including service quality, user satisfaction, and the perceived Impact of the QR code system on the overall dining experience. Respondents were randomly selected to ensure a wide range of perspectives and a comprehensive understanding of customer feedback.
The analysis of responses revealed that the QR code system significantly Improved service speed and efficiency, particularly among tech-savvy customers who valued its convenience and intuitive design. However, several challenges were noted, including difficulties experienced by less tech-savvy diners in navigating the system, a reduction in personal interactions with staff, and occasional technical issues that disrupted the dining experience. These findings highlight the need for a more inclusive, adaptable system that provides a seamless and consistent experience for all customers, regardless of their technological proficiency.
The researchers recommend that restaurants focus on enhancing the accessibility and ease of use of QR code ordering systems while ensuring sufficient support is available for customers who may encounter difficulties with the technology. Future research could explore the long-term effects of QR code ordering on customer loyalty and operational efficiency across similar dining establishments.
