This study aimed to determine the perception of the selected college students of the Pamantasan ng Lungsod ng Maynila on different educational issues tackled in Bob Ong's book, ABNKKBSNPLAKo. The nature of the study is Quantitative-Qualitative for it provides both numerical and descriptive data. The researchers conducted surveys and interviews as basis of the results. There were a hundred respondents who answered the survey questionnaires and literature professors were interviewed regarding some parameters of the study. Through survey questionnaires answered by selected respondents, the researchers determined the following : the level of knowledge of the selected students regarding the characters, story and the theme of the book; the representation of the book's characters, story and theme; the significance of the characters, story and the theme to the issues in education; and lastly, how the characters, story and theme of the book helped in advocating issues in education. Literature professors also gave their knowledge about the parameters of the study including perception, literature and educational issues. After analyzing the results, the researchers concluded that majority of the selected target respondents were highly knowledgeable with regard to the characters, story and theme of the book. Most of the respondents could also depict the characters, theme and story of the book in terms of Bob Ong's presentation through writing. Moreover, based on the major findings of the data gathered plus the insight from key informants, the significance of the aforementioned elements of the book is also due to its literary power of showcasing the daily dilemma of both teachers and students towards Philippine education system. Lastly, majority of the respondents answered that the aforementioned elements helped in advocating issues on education through giving of opinion about national budget for education based on recommendation of United Nations.
