ABSTRACT: The study aimed to establish a productivity values on selecting finishing works in building construction. The study used stopwatch time study method in establishing the productivity measurement. The time study form was utilized as an instrument for the data recording during the field observation. Six different finishing works were considered in the study namely painting of dry wall, painting of concrete wall, and painting of ceiling board, installation of panel door, installation of vinyl tiles and installation of vinyl sheets. On each work, at least three standard breakdowns of items of scope of work per cycle develop with a total of fifty one cycles. About twelve finishing workers were observed for the study. The observed time was taken thru actual field observation. Other factors were then considered thru observation and interviews such as relaxation and other allowances to determine normal time and standard time. Using paired t-test, it was found out that there is no significant difference between the constructor's estimate and the output on the manpower time of finishing works in building construction.
