The language used a medium of instruction is seen as a factor. With regards to this problem, the researchers conducted this study to see the effectiveness of using English or Filipino language as a medium to determine whether it could improve the skills of the students towards the subject or it could only worsen their comprehension. How about the efficiency of the learners in speaking English or Filipino languages as a medium of instruction. The researchers were also after the literacy of the student's in English, to be globally competitive, in Filipino being our national language, showing our self-identity, nationalism and patriotism is our main goal. According to the respondents, they choose English language in studying Addition and Subtraction of Intergers. Because they could easily understand the subject and they feel comfortable using it. ABSTRACT: The degrading quality of education in the country is quite alarming. This sounds a big problem not only for the teachers and students but also for the country. The language used a medium of instruction is seen as a factor. With regards to this problem, the researchers conducted this study to see the effectiveness of using English or Filipino language as a medium to determine whether it could improve the skills of the students towards the subject or it could only worsen their comprehension.
