_aABSTRACT: Postpartum depression is one of the specifier of Major Depressive Disorder and it can lead to conflict of mothers if not treated. This study aimed to know if there is a correlation between social support and stress to postpartum depression of mothers living in Manila wherein they were asked to answer the Edinburg Postnatal Depression Scale, Mltidimensional Scale of Perceived Social Support and Perceived Stress Scale. Based on the results: (a) the level of postpartum depression of the mothers living in Manila is 9.66 which is not possible to postpartum depression (b) mothers received high level of social support with 5.74 mean (c) a mean of 17.96 was gathered that fall under moderate stress (d) there is no relationship between postpartum and social support (e) a relationship between postpartum and stress was also seen in this study (f) social support and stress is not statistically significant postpartum. To give solution to the findings, a program was presented to prevent postpartum depression.
